FAITH Homeschool
Co-op
Families Active In Teaching At Home
What is FAITH Homeschool Co-op?
FAITH Homeschool co-op began as a group of like-minded homeschool families who joined together to assist one another in the educational endeavors of their children. It is not designed to mimic public or private school. Instead it serves to give families a needed supplement to what they are learning at home and to provide classes that are more along the lines of skills or fun based along with academic.
Our goal is not to provide all a student must have but instead provide options and classes to round out what they may be learning at home. Because of this we do require parents to be involved in every aspect of our coop day.
What classes do we offer?
Classes offered each year will vary according to who volunteers to teach and the needs of families.
We strive to offer classes for as many ages as possible and across a variety of subjects and interests.
Core High school classes that have been offered in the past have included science, math, language arts, and fine arts; middle school and elementary classes have ranged from science, history, language arts, STEM, and crafts.
We have also offered fun classes like dance, theatre, fencing, Historical Conquest (history card game), and have had knitting, cross stitch, leather working, and piano lessons.
Every year offers a different mix of classes. Parents are encouraged to teach according to their strengths, the interests and needs of their children, and the interests of all families.
Please see our Classes page for a link to the current academic year offerings.
